Txoootx!

Like every year, a funny cry opens the new season.

A new cycle begins, a new harvest is transformed and a new emotion is created around our most notorious drink: the Basque cider.

THE LAND

Above the Urumea valley, at Astigarraga (Gipuzkoa), surrounded by the autochthonous apple trees make possible our Origen Denomination

¿The place?

Has witnessed the most ancient chronicles:

The most ancient active cider house is located in a farm house from the XVI century.

Between this walls and lands, we renovate each year the memory that has transform the Basque cider into something more than a drink: a tradition that defines us.

THE PEOPLE
Gartziategi is about sharing. Is bringing back to life what brings us together and celebrate each year that we are still together in a land that maintains us. In each Txotx cry, we can hear the echo of a tradition that is keeps alive in the people’s throats, the people that surround the “kupela”. A ritual full of emotion that gives sense to our job season after season.
A timeless profession, a nowadays profession

We honour the Basque cider tradition and we appreciate it with the exigence of the Euskal Sagardoa. seal.

The secret lies in our careful selection of our raw material: autochthonous apples, improved and evolved in a timeless journey.

A journey that begins really far away to meet the requirements of the present, with the organoleptic attributes that we find each year in our cider.
